The 9 refuges route is more than a guide to the mountain route in the Aig�estortes and Sant Maurici Lake national park, popularly known as the Chariots of Fire, which passes the Ernest Mallafr�, Amitges, Saboredo, Colom�rs, Restanca, Joan Ventosa i Calvell, Estany Llong, Colomina and Josep Maria Blanc refuges. It is an orientative manual that gives clear guidance and instructions to ramblers on how to follow this route. In this book there are graphics of the changes in height, GPS co-ordinates, 3D maps, colour photographs... all this to complete the pile of information about the routes, the refuges and the optional climbs from many points on the route. It is an account based on personal experience which the authors put in the hands of readers to invite them to enjoy the magnificent experience they have had in writing the guide. It is written in clear, understandable language, like an expedition diary, with a wealth of details and leaving nothing to chance.

Since they were very young, David Buenacasa Ca�as (Barcelona, 1973) and Marc Subir� Docampo (Barcelona, 1977) have shared a passion for mountains and for the Pyrenees. They are behind the first interactive portal in Spain explaining how to follow various Pyrenean routes (http://www.pirineos3000.com), from where the idea and basic details for being able to create this book emerged.
